A growing number of employers across the UK are now mandating partial or full returns to the office after several years of hybrid and remote working. The shift is placing renewed strain on facilities management teams who must reactivate or expand workspace capacity, and on fleet operators who are seeing a spike in business mileage, pool-car bookings, and requests for company vehicles as commuting and client visits resume.

For facilities-management and service businesses that run mixed fleets, the return-to-office wave creates both opportunity and risk. Engineers, field-service teams, and contract managers are travelling more frequently, and many organisations are discovering that the vehicles mothballed or returned during the pandemic no longer match today's needs.
